The hot and talented Priyanka won for herself best actress award for her dynamic role in the movie ‘Kaminey’.

While ‘Ghajini’ by A.R. Murugadoss won three accolades for best direction, best film and best screenplay. Abhishek Bachchan, acknowledged with special Guinness World Record for the Most Public Appearances to Promote ‘Delhi-6′ in seven cities in 12 hours.

Last year’s hit ‘Wake up Sid’ by Ayan Mukherjee bagged the outstanding debutant director award.

Shreya Ghoshal won the best female singer award for ‘Tujh mein rab dikhta hai’ from ‘Rab Ne Bana De Jodi’. ‘Love Aaj Kal’ won in two categories, best male singer for ‘Yeh dooriyan’ by Mohit Chauhan and the best story award by Imtiaz Ali.

Ajay Devgan won for comic role in ‘All The Best’ and the best negative role award fetched by Amol Gupte for ‘Kaminey.

The Guild jury was presented to Ravi Chopra, Ketan Desai, and Sajid Nadiadwala.
The special moment of this award function was when Amitabh Bachchan was facilitated with the Best Lifetime Achievement award.

The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences (Oscar) Library has made a request to Yash Raj Films for the script of its recently released ‘Rab Ne Bana di Jodi’ to be part of its permanent collection.

The sensitivity of the screenplay and the unusual love story attracted the attention of the staff at the library. The invitation is the recognition that the screenplay of the film stands out from the crowd—not just among Indian movies but movies released worldwide, According to Yash Raj Films spokesperson.

The film written and directed by Aditya Chopra stars Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma in the lead.

“Earlier also, I have come here. My mother brought me here in my childhood. We have earlier also visited the Golden Temple for a shoot. Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan will star opposite Sonam Kapoor in Aditya Chopra’s Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.

Shah Rukh Khan and Sonam Kapoor have been locked down to play the main leads and from what we hear the story might just be another Nishabd.

SRK is expected to play a 40 year old NRI who is based in the UK and leads the life of a loner. He returns to his hometown where he meets the young Sonam Kapoor. Playing a typical Punjabi kudi who is just 16 years of age, Sonam is expected to have all the attributes that SRK stays away from.

The film will be shot in Greece, Australia and Dubai and will be released by the end of 2008.

Filming for Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is expected to begin on May 12 and will be released at the end of the year on December 19.
