Don 2 : SRK’Don 2′ isn’t as high-priced as ‘Ra. One’
Shahrukh Khan Starr ‘Don 2‘ may not be promoting itself as one of the costliest films ever made. However if the promos so far are any indication, one can well see that this Shahrukh Khan starrer is an expensive affair. With the film’s shooting taking place across various locations in Germany, Malaysia, Switzerland and of course India.
When ‘Ra. One’ was released, it proudly declared itself to be the costliest film ever made. While the film’s budget fluctuated between 135 to 150 crores as per different sources, the fact remains that it was this very factor that proved to be it’s undoing (from perception perspective), what with many using this as a parameter to judge it’s success.
“No, we haven’t spent 100/120 crore on ‘Don 2′ here,” Ritesh confirms, “Still, one has to keep this in mind that when you are making a major action film like ‘Don 2′ and that too as a sequel, it can’t come cheap.” Point noted Ritesh in an interview.
