I’ve learnt a lot from SRK: Deepika
Maybelline brand ambassador and model Deepika Padukone is certainly Bollywood’s latest IT girl.
The model-turned-actor arrived fashionably late to endorse a cosmetic brand and deftly turned the press meet towards her upcoming films – the top one being Om Shanti Om
“I can’t talk much about the film right now, but will definitely say that I am very lucky. I have learnt a lot from both Shahrukh and Farah,” says Deepika.
This ramp scorcher is already making it to the gossip columns – first, for having signed a film with the other, much talked about debutant Ranbir Kapoor, and then, for having hooked up with him. So are the two newcomers more than the proverbial ‘good friends’?
“I can’t comment on that,” says Deepika.
But Deepika’s also made news for having refused Himesh Reshamiya’s debut film Aap Ka Suroor, after having been part of his music video earlier. But she has no regrets because she has clinched a role in Nikhil Advani’s next film.
When asked if modelling was a step to making that career in Bollywood, Deepika says, “I never wanted to become an actress, but now it has just happened.”
